Protecting you from fraud and financial crime
In today’s increasingly connected world, it’s more important than ever to ensure your security – especially when it comes to banking. That’s why we’re introducing HSBC Safeguard: a series of initiatives to increase the protection we give our customers against fraud and financial crime across our global systems and processes. It involves strengthening our ability to combat money laundering and the evasion of sanctions, as these are often the driver behind many financial crimes.
Information is key to protection
As part of this initiative, we may contact you to confirm that the details we have about you are accurate and up to date, since our systems and processes rely on us having the most up-to-date information about all of our customers.
You only need to take action if we've asked you to submit some information. Then, you would kindly be asked to submit the requested documents to your nearest branch or Customer Service Unit.
When to contact us
If you have identified any unauthorised use of your card, notify us immediately by calling on the number on the back of your card. If you have received any suspicious calls, emails or texts from anyone impersonating HSBC then please contact us our Hbme Internet ABUSE team hbmeinternetabuse@hsbc.com
